Urban Homeless Encampment

Posted by
Stephen Phillips (San Francisco, United States) on 5 August 2017 in Documentary & Street.

Oakland, California

One of the larger tents cities in the area. Oakland has over 1500 makeshift homes with more than 5000 people displaced. A shameful testimony to the greed and selfishness of The United States.

We also have that in the big cities, but they are refugee camps

@Gérard: These "refugees" are our own fellow citizens and neighbors - all across our land. A testimony to those who value power and money above human decency.

Elaine Hancock from Olney, United States

That is really sad. A great documentary image.
