Hi Stephen hope you are keeping well (and busy). Love the moodiness of this night sky filled with dampness and rain, nice "ghost train" too. I'm guessing at an exposure of about 2 seconds?

@Curly: Good call, Curly and I'm sorry I didn't include the exif data:

Canon 5D w/ Canon 16-35mm f/2.8 L II lens: ISO 1250 / f 9.0 @ 20mm / 1.6 seconds

What was cool about this capture is that it was completely unplanned. I was driving across the tracks and saw the train stopped at Berkeley station - less than a mile away (1.4 km). I made a U-Turn and pulled out the tripod and camera as the train was gaining speed. I set the aperture and shutter as the crossing gates closed - framing and leveling the camera just as the train came into the finder. 1 - 2 - 3 - Click.

Wonderful image Stephen. You really have an eye for creating dramatic low light scenes.

@Yonatan: Thank you, Yonatan - I'm not shooting nearly as much as I would like and miss my regular visits here. Soon...

The rain soaked image offers up some wonderfully saturated colours to go along with the ghost train! Nicely captured Stephen! ;-)
