Nicole's 'Work Studio' Installation

Posted by
Stephen Phillips (San Francisco, United States) on 23 May 2011 in Art & Design and Portfolio.

Here - a week and a day after yesterday's post - Nicole is wearing her street clothes and making preparations for moving everything we see here - out! Her exhibit was to replicate her studio within the show - with her sculptures, artworks, journals, notes, and books within.

I returned here on a whim on this last day of the show. As I arrived - Nicole was arriving there too with her friend and neighbor, Carolyn Cole. We hadn't planned this - it was fate!

I'd only seen less than half of the exhibit on that earlier opening night and this is why my series is expanding. There was so much inspirational work and it was grand not having the big crowd. Beginning tomorrow - are images from that opening night - followed by images of this day.

Warning: hide the kids and sit down before tomorrow's 'Tuesday' image. I was trying to get to the edge of the balcony and tomorrow's image is what I found there. Wednesday, we'll see the image I was hoping for.

I am still busy and can't yet give our AM3 blog the attention I'd like - but will continue checking in as I can. Meanwhile...

Enjoy the show!

Among my favorite kinds of portraits - those that show artists with their art. Love this!!!

A great sense of place and space, with a hint of sadness.
It would hurt a little having to remove such a complex exhibit.

ps - Why do I get the feeling that I will need to look at tomorrow's image from home rather than at work?

@Denny Jump Photo: Welllll....there's nothing you couldn't show on network television - - - but if any of your co-workers saw it - I'm not sure what they'd think. For that matter - I'm not sure what I think - (except) - it's Tuesday!
