Alameda Shoreline

South of the High Street Bridge

This is very near the southern end of the Island of Alameda, just above San Leandro Bay. Turning right (west) just beyond these homes would have you pass beneath the Doolittle Bridge and into the waters of San Francisco Bay.

Looks like a quite community with strong connections to the sea, although pleasure sailing may now be the fashion these days.

A quiet fishing enclave nestled up to the big city! Nicely captured Stephen! ;-)

Beautiful, Stephen! Tis also reminds me of the tidelands at Foster City where one of Barbara's sisters lives. Gorgeous!

This certainly has the feel of an authentic seaside town. We are losing places like this very quickly. How long until manicured condos go in?
