Christmas at Black Rock

Posted by
Stephen Phillips (San Francisco, United States) on 14 December 2010 in Lifestyle & Culture and Portfolio.

San Francisco

A little glimpse at the dark side of my Christmas persona. Why an investment company would name itself 'Black Rock' is weird to begin with. And this before the economic collapse. I was walking in front of their San Francisco office on Sunday and noticed these little LED lights in this tree. I looked up and told myself this qualifies for a Silly Tuesday posting.

Tomorrow - a 'good' architectural image taken at the same hour. Heck - it is an attractive building.

Super view, it looks so incongruous a tree growing between monolithic structures.

Fun tree that appears to compete with the building height

Your story may be darkm (and I too have chuckled at their name) but this image is nothing to laugh about - I think it is totally cool...great view...I like that area of town with the trees and so close to the water...very nice!
