STeven this is magnificent! Were you on Treasure??

5 Aug 2010 3:16pm

@Denny Jump Photo: Hey, Denny - that's where I was. This was another occasion when the traffic on the Bay Bridge was crawling and I was looking at the light behind me and decided to give T.I. a detour. I would have loved to have gotten here earlier but happy with what I got. The wind was bad - blowing straight into the lens. The wind gusts were impossible - even with the tripod well weighted. Most of my dozen captures were victims of wind vibration.

I took this last Saturday evening (7/31). The Giants had a 5 PM start against the Dodgers - the FOX Network Game. The game had just concluded with the Giants hanging on in a great pitching dual, 2-1. The traffic on the Bay Bridge has been dramatically impacted by the installation of an enormous "S-Curve" structure just east of Yerba Buena Tunnel. This to allow construction of the replacement span. It really slows the traffic - especially east bound. This is why there was a jam and how this image came to be.

Amazing photo, I love the different array of blue's in the sky and the reflection of the city lights on the clouds. looks like the further you get away from the city the purer the world gets. love it.
