Oh another Exxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxcellence of yours, guyz ! Kat & you, both ! Terrific compo & pace, i love this one again, and the whole serie is pure dynamite***

23 Feb 2010 10:31am

@k@: Thanks for the enthusiasm, Karine - I truly appreciate it. Kat and I plotting a shoot in April but our schedules won't allow for an urban shoot on this pass. I am confident we'll figure out something to do, however.

Curly from South Shields, United Kingdom

Cool title Stephen! Great positioning too, the colours appear a little bit cool on my monitor, but that may have been because of the time of day.

23 Feb 2010 12:48pm

@Curly: Your monitor doesn't lie to you, Curly. Perfect San Francisco fog at about half-an-hour after sunrise on a sleepy Sunday morning.

Ralph Jones from Detroit, United States

I am beginning to look forward to Tuesdays to see what Kat and you bring to my screen.

dobbino from Cape Town, South Africa

Really love this, Stephen. EXIF data please. The way she stands out (?) against the background is exceptional.

23 Feb 2010 7:23pm

@dobbino: Thanks for the visit, dobbino. This series was from several years ago. It did get attention in Photoshop for color correction, sharpening, brightness and contrast. Here you go:

Canon D20 with Canon 70-200mm f/2.8 IS L lens - ISO400 - at 105mm - f/11 at 1/60th second

philippe from moselle, France

pour être original c'est original !!! superbe compo, beau contraste entre le modèle et tout ce béton !!!

Nice shot

23 Feb 2010 9:33pm

Susan from Fort Lauderdale, FL, United States

the background may be a bit cool, or bright, but she stands out beautifully against it!!! Another wonderful ST shot!! (That's spencer tunick, not silly tuesday!!)

23 Feb 2010 11:21pm

@Susan: You rock, Susan - Spencer Tunick rocks, rolls rock - - - keep me posted on your 40D. They'll make it right and you'll likely never know exactly what it is. My guess is a drop of oil got on the sensor. It won't hurt it at all and can happen if the camera box gets jostled pretty hard in transit. I've had to clean my 5D three times after it got whacked - usually by my slipping off some mountain or beach bluff. Gravity seems to love me.

Of course, this is not supposed to happen to your new and wonderful instrument. But I try to keep these things in perspective - - - it beats being a resident of Hatti.

Stefan from Thiersee, Austria

Wow, very cool shot, fantastic!

Liang from San Francisco, United States

such a great composition, love the steep hill-like approach, seems like a cable car can be approaching any minute!

Susan from Fort Lauderdale, FL, United States

i finally heard back from the ebay store i purchased the 40d from....they won't pay for me to have it cleaned, but will give me a refund if i want to return.......I'm taking it to a place tomorrow that works on them, to find out if a simple sensor cleaning is all it needs....if so, i will pay for that, and be done with it....If not, I will return it, and start all over again (which i really don't want to do, since I've already fallen in love with it!!) Hopefully, place tomorrow can take care of the problem.......will keep you posted....

24 Feb 2010 2:25am

@Susan: My suggestion is to return it and look at getting one directly from B&H Photo in N.Y. - It will cost you most of a hundred bucks to have it cleaned and you should start off with a 'perfect' new camera. That's my 2 cents worth.

Cole from United States

Is Kat back in town? Was this recent?

24 Feb 2010 2:42am

Garfield from Ancaster Ontario, Canada

Great title, Stephen. Fascinated by how it looks like she's walking on the edge of the road - obvious - but with the hydro/cables seemingly there to catch her somehow. ... A cat has 9 lives though!

24 Feb 2010 3:33am

Paco Díaz from Palma de Mallorca, Spain

The Kat is crossing the town, wonderful! I like very much these street nudes, thay are fantastic.

24 Feb 2010 6:19am

Susan from Fort Lauderdale, FL, United States

Stephen....First, B&H doesn't even have the 40d anymore.......and what I learned at 7 am this morning, when I dropped it off at camera store, privately owned, been doing repairs for 40 years......they said it's probably just a mild cleaning...will only charge me about $60......and he said I got a great deal on a camera that's in excellent condition, and is apparently a "hot item" on the market these days......apparently more popular than the newer hopefully, a cleaning will be all that needs to be done.....and I'll have a great camera back within a day or so......

24 Feb 2010 1:16pm

@Susan: This is really good news, Susan. I forgot that they're closing out the 40D. It is a great camera. I gave my 20D to my business partner when I purchased the 5D three years ago - and he is still going strong with it. Canon really makes a great product and I'm glad you found a 'quick and easy' solution that will get you back on the street (stuck in traffic - looking for the next opportunity) - - - soon!

Anthony Morgan Lambert from Bielefeld(old West Wales boy), Germany

Stunning shot !!

KriKridesign from Cully, Switzerland

fantastic framing...This woman is so full of grace and it looks like she plays with ls electric cords. Sublimate capture...

25 Feb 2010 12:56pm

@KriKridesign: I absolutely love your 'electric' comment. Thanks for the visit.

lare from Finland

a real catwalk....very creative composition: a naked human being on a catwalk of a urban city with all it's elements which makes the great contrast...A question raises, is this for me ? the city or I'm a stranger here and belong to another place...meaning this comp is very narrative and art work like all of your pictures...
