Oakland Daybreak

Posted by

Oakland, California

At long last - six days into the New Year - I finally take my first capture of 2010 - and here it is.

As many of you know - I'm moving from San Francisco across the bay to Oakland. I was up early and on my way back to San Francisco to continue clearing my old flat when the light of the new day began to shine. The camera and tripod had to emerge. A salute to my new home.

@Anthony Morgan Lambert: Thanks so much, Anthony - for your kind words and thoughts. Through your lens - I have such a heightened view of Germany. Through Francisco's, of Spain, Through Hugo's, of Hong Kong - and so on. This is the real beauty of networks like AM3. It really promotes understanding and intimacy. Perhaps it will make it more difficult for us as a species to be lead to war. And all of this to say - I am happy to have you as part of my daily life. I hope you do make it to San Francisco and that we meet when you do...

I will be interested to see much more of Oakland. It's one place we didn't get to visit while in your fair metropolis.
