sudsation

Model: Machaon (2009)

Okay - time to come clean (so to speak)...

This was a fairly small two-person hot-tub. All the images so far have had suds blended into the back of the image in Photoshop. To get an idea of what that looked like 'before' in today's image - go to:

http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g34/spphoto/MachScrnCptr_2009-12-01_161725.jpg

The image will open in another window - you may then toggle back and forth to compare 'before' and 'after' images.

The effect is clear. I believe the time spent in Photoshop greatly improved the impact of these images. It was a bit time consuming to get the blending just right - but I think you'll agree, it was time well spent.

[ notice ] - some nudity for the next few days.

A ha..... and the answer to my wonderings is announced!! Unfortunately, I can't get to the link from here at work, but I will be checking this out tonite when I get home!!!! In this one, looks like the "ice" has broken, right close to Machaon...... where there is just water, without suds!! Great series Stephen......

Just checked out the other shot.....You have greatly improved upon it!! Nothing like software to assist the photographer!!! And I don't care what anyone says.......the final result is still art!!!

I agree with Susan, software is just a tool used by a photographer to create and enhance their work or art. Beautiful work Stephen, very creative effect with the suds, really like it.

@John Maslowski: Thank you so much, John and here's hoping you might catch Monday's posting. It is not only the best from the series - it is one of my all-time favorite images.

this is a wonderfully unique series Stephen!! and in my opinion -- the 'secrets' behind the photograph don't matter unless the artist chooses to disclose them -- the final work in and of itself, and not necessarily the process or the processing has any relevance... bravo!!
