I love it, the sides that is, it doesn't look like graffiti, it just looks like art to me and greatly enhances the bridge, I don't like it on the road though, then again I'm a little weird

Well, at least they are consistent with their decoration of the bridge. The concrete structure suggest this is quite an old bridge ?

31 Oct 2009 12:21pm

@Michael: My guess would be between 1910 and 1920. I'll try to find out the exact date.

Betty from Phillipsburg, United States

An amazing bridge! Never saw one like it before. I gather it's not used anymore?

31 Oct 2009 1:33pm

@Betty: It is heavily used - even by large agricultural trucks. Many, many bicycles as well in that this is about 15 km ( 9 mi) from Davis, California, the bicycle capitol of the U.S.

Calusarus from St Sorlin en Valloire, France

It's the first time I see such a bridge. Thank you to share it with us

Nice catch Stephen.....they sure do have it covered......I'm thinking if this bridge is used, it must be infrequently...hence all the uninterrupted time for tagging!!

31 Oct 2009 3:56pm

@Susan: Greetings Susan - thanks for the visit. This bridge gets a lot of traffic - mostly in the morning and late in the day. It is a heavy agricultural area - so lots of trucks and service vehicles. Fortunately for the taggers - you can hear traffic for quite awhile before it gets to the span.

Pepe Cabrera from Cuidad de Antipolo, Philippines

Amazing shot! What happened to this bridge?

31 Oct 2009 4:15pm

@Pepe Cabrera: Ah, spray cans! The bridge is doing fine, thank you Pepe.

I like this. Am sure that if I'd grown up around there I'd have left my mark somewhere on this span.
