fantastic shot, idea and light
i hope you haven't caused a traffic accident though :)
22 Sep 2009 6:41am
@yz: Thanks, yz - no traffic, no harm, no foul - the fruits of a quiet Sunday sunrise. Her robe was over my shoulder should we have heard a car approach.
Beautiful nude indeed, dreamy ambience and colors, and a difficult picture to compose in the highway. Bravo, my friend.

A wonderful risque composition! The warm morning sun is spectacular. I must ask if these sorts of shots are at all nerve-racking to pull off? I can imagine the tension in the air to pose and get the shot before somebody starts giving you a hard time over having a little fun.

@Yonatan: Well, Yonatan - this IS San Francisco. The models and I have a blast shooting these sessions. Almost always do these on quiet Sunday mornings. Usually - you can hear a car coming before they see you. I always have the model's robe ready to toss in her direction. Lots of smiles by those who do manage to catch us...
Early morning or late evening? You a brave photographer to attempt to pull this off. Deserve five stars just for the personal effort.

@Curly: Greetings, Curly. Clearly - the model is the brave one here. All I'm doing is setting the shot and releasing the shutter. I most always schedule these shoots early on Sunday mornings - while most of the City is soundly sleeping...
Just after sunrise... weekend... maybe even a national holiday, as few cars as are present. Either that or a expertly-crafted assembly. Regardless of all that... wonderful shot, Stephen! Thanks for sharing!

@Tony Duque: Hey, Tony - pretty good detective work. Have you considered a career in anthropology? I'd never do this as an assembly - what would be the fun and challenge in that? Here we have an early Sunday morning.
very beautiful Stephen -- the light, composition and pose are just gorgeous!! i especially like the bright blue sign pointing 'north' and the bold yellow highway stripe!! a very daring photoshoot indeed -- not guts, no glory!!! bravo!!! :)

Must've been very early in the morning, the light on her body is gorgeous...
This is daring and quirky at the same time. Bravo for your and your model's courage !!!
This is a perfect invitation to visit San Francisco !!!

@Roman: Thanks, Roman. The model deserves all the credit here. She's the one without the clothes! We both have a blast shooting these sessions.
Lovely light and a daring shot.well done,"both of you" !!

@Anthony Morgan Lambert: Many thanks, Anthony. I love doing these shoots - and both model and I have a blast in the process.
Super warm light hitting her.

@Michael Rawluk: A rare and warm sunrise in San Francisco.
I'm impressed. The sign presence is an interesting add to this composition…

@Calusarus: Thank you very much, Calusarus.
crazy shot! the timing you had to do on this shot is very difficult, I can image. I'm guessing right after the shot was taken you had to cover up real quick eh? nicely done.

It's just a great shot Stephen, the lighting, the location, everything just works.......and I'll bet is was kinda fun, watching out for the folks on the road......just looking at it, and thinking about it, really gives a sense of adventure, and great fun!!
22 Sep 2009 11:31pm
<Smiling> Well here's a sight you rarely see along the interstate these days. The whole composition, model's pose, and concept is quite creative.
23 Sep 2009 2:08am
Great comp - love the arrow pointing at the model - she seems to be swooning from the idea of heading north.
23 Sep 2009 11:26am
Excellent! The golden glow of morning light is so dreamy..... Fabulous work!
24 Sep 2009 3:59pm
one risky place to make nude but with success, i love the pose, don't lose north

@grant: This was quite a visit, Grant - I'm glad you managed to finish your tour here. Thanks so much.
Brave model. I'd be too worry about getting arrested --especially around here, but maybe they're more forgiving in SF. I'd leave more comments but I'm struggling to catch up.

not bad...nicely professionaly composed incl. name freeway north :-) How you could shot this without numerous collisions ?
These pictures with nude models are always fascinating, but at the same time a bit too easy to get
attention...I mean some, not you take these captures only to get attention and that's garanted among guys but the beef pro composition easely leave on the background.
