She's Back

Posted by
Stephen Phillips (San Francisco, United States) on 30 April 2009 in Art & Design and Portfolio.

Most of you will remember Jesse - the stunning redhead I featured here last week.

Well - my experience is that each time I post some of her images - and then email her - Jesse will get in touch. I am happy to report that this time she not only called - she showed up! She is working just north of here and visiting in the bay area through May. We are planning multiple shoots!

Color me thrilled !

This image is from the carousel at Fourth & Howard streets in San Francisco. Taken in 2005. The merry-go-round was originally at our 'Playland-at-the-Beach' - which was demolished in 1972.

Take the month off from whatever you are doing - and take as many shots of Jesse you possibly can. She is a rare find and makes every portrait of her on AM3 pop. Great job finding her! I'm so jealous that I can't watch a shoot sometime - as there is a real chemistry between you two that makes art.

@Bill: Oh my - what a suggestion! But that I could, Bill. Nevertheless - I have confidence that we'll get in our due. We are both looking forward to working together once again.

Alun from Cheshire, United Kingdom

Paco Díaz from Palma de Mallorca, Spain

Funny image, even facepainted, she is beautiful
It's a good news to know that you will met her soon.
Give her regards, of course.

@Paco Díaz: Thank you, Francisco. You have my word - I'll pass your regards along to Jesse.

Very interesting shot. it attracts so much attention to it. I was on the community page looking at all the thumbnails of photos uploaded today and this photo just caught my attention.
the subject, the sharpness and detail, and the motion blur of the background all went together perfectly.

Beautiful shot!
The combination between the beautiful red haired model, the black dress (almost gothic like) and the children's world (face paint and carousel) is great!

Am so glad for you and Jesse that there will be a reunion and lots of new photos to take and enjoy. She has a big fan club here on Am3, but it seems like you and she have the right mix of styles that bring out the best in both model and photographer. This photo being but one more great example. The face paint and pose together are incredible.

Thanks so much, Evelyne - I really appreciate your work - your friendship (albeit from afar) - and your observations - whether directed to my work - or towards your view of the world. I do hope this translates the way I mean it.
