Cool perspective! I just expect Michael Douglas jump in a car from behind the hill :)

Ooh I love this one. This is a very characteristic hill from SF. That's something we see in the movies. Excellent perspective.

dogilicious from Millerstown, PA, United States

Famous from "The Streets of San Francisco" and other chase scenes. Great angle to shoot from. I don't know if I'd want to park my car there.

20 Jan 2009 9:18pm

@Calusarus: Ah, Lieutenant Bullitt - the first is still the very best.

grant from kansas city, United States

such a wonderful long view. i like the way the stop lines on the street seem to divide it into sections.

Marcie from United States

What a great hill!!! Love the horizontals of the wires and cars..and how they bisect the central spine. Nice composition!

@Marcie: Thank you, Marcie.

JJ from Jersey City, United States

Superb capture, is this the road we often see in movies set there, or is there many roads like this, it just looks familiar and I have never been there

21 Jan 2009 1:22am

@JJ: Well, JJ - one of them...

John Maslowski from Dallas, PA, United States

Spectacular shot, love these streets in SF. Reminds me of the Steve McQueen movie Bullit. Remember the great chase scene? Your answer is directly related to your age and mine.

21 Jan 2009 2:51am

@John Maslowski: Well, John - if you go back and glance six comments down from your kind words - you'll discover both Calusarus and yours truly, doffing our collective caps to Lieutenant Frank Bullitt. Simply, first and still best! That film was released forty-one years ago. Arrrgh.

EYES WIDE SHUT from The library of my soul, United Kingdom

I wouldn't want to walk to the shops and back up that hill each day! What a perspective. Neat shot, Stephen

21 Jan 2009 4:41am

@EYES WIDE SHUT: It be good for you my friend - think of it as a free 'Stairmaster'
(of course, I put the camera back in the car - and drove back over the hill)

Anthony Lambert from Bielefeld, Germany
