Wonderful perspective, earth tones and excellent composition. They all combine into a fine image, Stephen!

This is a great photo. It's nicely framed with a good lead in line to the barn. It looks like a nice place to go for a walk.

@Mike: A walk here would be a bit soggy underfoot this particular day - with bands of intense storminess moving through the area. Also - this is cattle country - providing another reason to be careful where you step.

Love the high plateau landscape! I'm not a fan of old barn photos; but, your shot here is so much more than that! Got to love that sky as well!

beautiful hues here Stephen! and what a beautiful countryside... makes me want to drop everything for a months residence in the area... i can only imagine the marvelous photogenic opportunities! wonderful shot!

@dj.tigersprout: DJ - Just remember before arranging your residency - this was the wet season. You'd be hard pressed this time of year to get more than an occasional thunderstorm. The area is at about 1000 meters (3300 feet) elevation and can get significant snow during the wet - winter - season. Nearby accommodations might be found in the towns of Mount Shasta City, Yreka, and Weed.

Beautiful composition and your depth of focus is spot on, I love how the water leads your eye right to the barn and the depth of the looming clouds above, great image!
