Doorway to Infamy

Posted by
Stephen Phillips (San Francisco, United States) on 5 June 2008 in Lifestyle & Culture and Portfolio.

These doors open into the once infamous Burlington Hotel in Port Costa, California.

For several decades - it was one of the largest brothels in California history. The names of the girls still adorn the doorways to each room. The Burlington still accepts reservations for weekend guests - however you are strongly urged not to consider this without first researching the experience thoroughly. Google, anyone?

Yes, agreed. The perspective is pleasantly unique. It's colors that made me stop.
