Classic Jesse

One more 'Jesse' archival image...

This from a shoot we did in 2005 - for The 2006 Catalog of CaraUcci Designs and Jewelery in San Francisco. The brocade jacket as well as the necklace are both from the designer's line. Two of our images made their cover page - including this one!

This marks the 365th post for 'fogguy' on A Minus 3. And as Jesse was the subject of my first post here:

...it only seems appropriate that her visage conclude the year - bringing the effort full circle.

Most of all - I want to express what a pleasure and privilege it has been to be part of this community. I value the friendship of so many of you. AM3 has become an important part of my day. And daily - I'm inspired - not just by the frequently excellent images - but as much by the citizenship and decency one finds here. The thread of humanity here is palpable. It gives one hope for peace. For a better world.

Like music - photography allows us to share a common language. I so value all of the great work at A Minus 3.

@Lorraine: Actually - this room in my studio has two windows across from one another and I used light screens and black drops to manage the late afternoon light on the model.

Another beautifully composed portrait of this perfect subject. You mention her jacket, it appears the quilt she's on is the same pattern? Congrats on having this shot published, and an even bigger Congrats for your first birthday here on am3!!! That's quite a commitment, something I aspire to!!!!

@Susan: Dear Susan - my Florida friend. You are right about the fabric - but what is actually happening is that this is a full length coat that Jesse tossed up behind her - while lying down. It was completely her idea. Another example of why she is great to work with!
