Suzanne from Huntington Bch, CA, United StatesAmazingly beautiful scene. Love the colors...especially the purple sky...and the streaks of light from the traffic. 13 Jan 2009 5:48am Scott Schilling from San Martin, United StatesThis is fantastic - the sky color is incredible in this image - has a great color hugh and I love how you were able to either correct for lens distortion or level the camera to keep the lines perfectly vertical on the buildings - awesome clarity and color - one of my favorites so far! 13 Jan 2009 6:08am @Scott Schilling: Thanks, Scott. The canon 16-35 mm lens is widely known for its minimum vertical distortion. I took care in where I placed the horizontal axis of the lens when setting the shot. I did use Adobe Photoshop to complete the distortion and perspective correction. chrissy from London, United Kingdomthis is a beautiful cityscape. love all the lights, you should consider selling some of your images, they are very professional! 13 Jan 2009 9:31am k@ from Paris, FranceThe lights here are so original ! Like a fake-city, a toy one, very original ! 13 Jan 2009 10:07am zahai from Berlin, GermanyBeautiful scenery and capture. Especially i love the shadow on the building to the left, doesn't seem to fit quite in. Nicely done :) 13 Jan 2009 10:52am @zahai: Hi, zahai - thanks. As I mentioned in the description - this image is at the gate to Chinatown. That shadow is from one of the traditional Chinese buildings along Grant Avenue. Rui from Leiria, PortugalSuperb Stephen! Walter from Watkinsville, United StatesDay, night, rain, fog, this city has it all and is a mecca for photos. No wonder you moved out there. Another great night time photo. I have to experiment with this some time. Just not tonight. Too cold and oh so windy here as the front moves in. We are preparing for teens this weekend. Now that's fireside weather for me. 14 Jan 2009 2:52am @Walter: Bundle up there, Walter - and put another log on that fire. Magda from Vancouver, CanadaGorgeous!
