Dense Fog at the Bay BridgePosted by Stephen Phillips (San Francisco, United States) on 11 January 2009 in Cityscape & Urban and Portfolio. San Francisco After taking yesterday's shot in front of my office - I walked the three blocks east to The Embarcadero - the wide boulevard which lines the waterfront along the eastern edge of downtown San Francisco. This was the scene as I arrived. [notebook]: a very different image showing where I took this image - will appear here tomorrow. © copyright 2009 by Stephen Phillips Photography / San Francisco / www.joyoflight.com Your comments are invited. Mike from Lichfield, United KingdomIt's been a long rime since I've seen fog that sense. I'm really enjoying this series of pics. I might do a series on my local city, I've thought about it a few times. Won't be anywhere near as interesting as SF though. 11 Jan 2009 6:28am chrissy from London, United Kingdomdont often see fog this dense, makes a vey good image 11 Jan 2009 7:42am Paco Díaz from SpainVery well done and composed. I like the fog in the bridge, I remember it and it gives to the city this dreamy sense I often have in my mind. I grew up just blocks from here... great shot.. 11 Jan 2009 9:30pm @greg: Hi Greg - thanks for the visit. I'd be curious where and when you were living near here. JJ from Jersey City, United Statesthis is s seriously cool shot, such dense fog engulfing the bridge ps sorry but my shot today was in NYC not NJ 11 Jan 2009 10:11pm @JJ: Thanks for the kind words, JJ - as for your correction, well - it kind of blows a hole in my comment that it really captured the feeling of Jersey City. But what the hubbub - those buildings look as though a Jersey City architect designed them and I know that tree came from a Jersey nursery, so - I'll stand by my statement... alex centrella from California, United Statesoh yes, the fog and the birds...cool shot ! 11 Jan 2009 10:36pm Ted from South Wales, United KingdomBrilliant...great series that is also a wonderful ad for SF! 11 Jan 2009 11:27pm Lesley from Lincoln, United StatesThe fog comes on little cat feet...
