above Cole ValleyPosted by Stephen Phillips (San Francisco, United States) on 9 December 2008 in Cityscape & Urban and Portfolio. It has been suggested by a few - that I post more images of my home town of San Francisco. So I'll plan to do just that. I have images set to go for the next two weeks - but for today - and going forward after the holidays - I will present more photographs of this fair city. Promise. Today - Cole valley. A lovely and quiet residential village in the heart of the City - just to the north of Twin Peaks. The community is well served by public transit and anchored around a quaint neighborhood shopping district. There are several really good restaurants. Cole valley represents an ideal urban place to live. The Haight-Ashbury district is just north of Cole Valley - before the trees in the distance running across the image. The spires of Saint Ignatius Church are at the upper left. Near center at the top - is the tower and surrounding buildings of Lone Mountain College. To the right of that - is a small glimpse of San Francisco Bay - and hills of Marin County, beyond. © copyright 2009 by Stephen Phillips Photography / San Francisco / www.joyoflight.com Your comments are invited.
