Holy Cow - Surf's Up !

The view from Cannibal Island Bridge. Two days of storms had produced some heavy ocean surge along the beach. The island inhabitants seemed not the least bit interested in the crashing surf - nor the pools of sunlight. They all seemed to have other business to attend to...

Very cool shot. Definitely a rarity. A non commercial beach with cows grazing almost on it. Nice crop also.

I see the surf pounding in the background; the cattle seems oblivious. I guess it's like when you live under a flight path and don't hear the jets, or near a railroad and don't notice the trains after a while. Cool mix.

This is not unlike where I come from, in Victoria, on the coast. It's also dairy farming and potato crop country so cows in paddocks and sea in the background was a common sight.

@Observing: They are in this shot, Mike. However, I've seen the storms that blow off that ocean - and in winter that can include sleet and even snow. And then there's the prospect of McDonald's. Good to hear from you!
