My niece Rebekah ( perhaps following in her uncle's footsteps ?) - in Portland, Oregon.
This image taken along the bed of the miniature railway that runs from the famous rose garden here - to the Portland Zoo.

I've been trying to work out what makes this such a fantastic shot. I think it must be a combination of the lens distortion, the angle looking down on your niece and just the over all perfect framing.

Focus is clearly on Rebeka, with slight blurring especially to the left, did you use a filter of some sort...?

Nice casual shot Stephen, watch out for the train.

@Observing: Hey there, Mike - thanks. That effect was unintended. This was my first shot in the series. I hadn't had time to seriously look at my exposure and framing. When I went through the images - this was my favorite - but the whole area on the left was burnt out in sunlight.

In Photoshop - I selected the area and feathered it widely (25 pixels I think) - I the used 'brightness/shadow' - hue/saturation to create as natural look as possible while taming the burn-out.
