Crockett Crossing

Southbound train roars through Crockett, California. Amtrak-California service from Sacramento to Oakland, San Francisco, and San Jose.

This is a great photo. It has a good composition, there's lots to look at and the colours are wonderful from the low evening sun.

@dj.tigersprout: Thanks, DJ. A small correction - this is a California Amtrak train - not a Caltrain as you suggested. I am thinking about approaching them about selling note cards on the trains. @Shun: Mirko. Thanks. This was taken with the Canon 16-35mm f/2.8 - a stellar lens - mounted to the 5D which gives it full frame.

I love this. Such motion and from the angle the lights are reflecting in an interesting distorted fashion. There's one track you don't wanna stand on:-)
