@Riccardo: Ricardo - The flower is an Agapantha. They are very common in The San Francisco Bay area in the spring and early summer. A 16x20 print of this image was on display at the main San Francisco Main Library for three months as part of a larger show.
The details seen by the camera never cease to amaze me. Nice image.

Lovely macro of this Agapanthus africanus... My uncle in Barcelona cultivates this plant for the cut flower... I have two pics on my "blue week" with ad deep blue variety.
